Job Description – Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: On-site, Regina, Saskatchewan

Overview:
Client is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to drive data insights and reporting initiatives that support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role plays a key part in supporting SaskEnergy’s digital transformation and enterprise data analytics objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
·       Develop and optimize SQL queries and reporting scripts for data analysis.
·       Design and implement reporting solutions using Power BI, Power Query, and DAX.
·       Collaborate with business units to define reporting needs and deliver analytics solutions.
·       Guide business stakeholders from requirements gathering through to solution delivery.
·       Integrate data from legacy and on-premises systems into modern visualization tools.
·       Apply data architectural methodologies, including Lakehouse architecture and Delta format.
·       Manage content and data governance initiatives.
·       Ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations (PIPEDA).
Required Qualifications:
·       Minimum 10 years’ experience in BI/data management roles within the last 15 years.
·       Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.(Or 10+ years of relevant experience if no formal qualification.)
·       Expertise in:
o  SQL development and optimization
o  Power BI (Power Query, DAX)
o  Azure, Power BI Service, Databricks
o  Star schema and analytical data models
·       Experience with Lakehouse architecture and Delta format.
·       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
·       Knowledge of Canadian privacy and security compliance standards.
·       Must be willing to work full-time, on-site at Client’s Regina Head Office.
Preferred:
·       North American work experience
·       Familiarity with industry best practices for data governance
